EPIS Charity

Help others by giving

Every person whose life is improved or saved, stems from an act of generosity that’s purely voluntary. That’s why donating is so extraordinary when you do it.

About

EPIS CHARITY

About Us

EPIS works in Mowlem Settlement Scheme which is surrounded by fifteen slums that benefit from the charity work transforming the lives in the communities in Nairobi, Kenya. Due to the rising poverty levels many families in the slums are unable to provide for their own children leave alone educating them nor pay rent where they stay leaving their children on the streets, abandoned, abused and illiterate.

Our Programs

EPIS runs education and health programs for the affected children. Education is provided free to children till high school. The raised funds also helps to treat the kids at school who are unwell or thrown on the streets. We care for those who cant live a normal life or are admitted in hospital and cant pay for medical care. This is just to make the child well so that he/she may resume normal life at home and in the community.

Get Involved

Whether you contribute financially or as advocate for good, you make a real difference. There are various efforts that we undertake where your contribution can help us go a long way. You can get involved in providing education, medical care and food. Better still, you can also volunteer to help us here in Kenya. Girls and women empowerment is another avenue that we feel strongly about.

Our motto

Hope is everything

Your generosity makes our work possible. Whether you contribute financially or as advocate for good, you make a real and lasting difference in people’s lives.

parent's story

My name is Duke Mbugwa. I cannot forget the passionate and the unchanging love Alice Muhonja showed to my family at the time we needed it most. I am a disabled parent who had an accident and lost both my leg and arm. I was so much disabled that I could not be employed anywhere to work so as to provide for my family, said Mbugwa. My three children had been staying in the house, unable to be enrolled to any private school or a public cost sharing school because I could not afford it, Duke added. I heard about EPIS Charity which is run by Alice Muhonja for the marginalized from a parent who had enrolled her children in this school. I decided to try my luck for my children and amazingly Alice received us well and now two of my children get free education, a meal and education facilities from EPIS Charity easing me from stress. The EPIS Charity teaches well. Within three months my children had known how to read and write; and also their behavior had improved. I together with the community appreciate Alice for the work she is doing to help the children without discrimination.
